About Calvary Baptist Ministries
In 1977, the LORD led Dr. Jerry McDonald and his wife, Jan, from their church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Canadian, Oklahoma, to start the Calvary Baptist Church and the Calvary Boys' Ranch. (In 1990, Calvary Boys' Ranch was closed. Then, in January, 1991, the Ranch was opened as Calvary Christian Boarding Academy.) In 1984, 102 acres of wooded land, just five miles north of Eufaula, Oklahoma, were donated to the Ministry. The Ministry then moved from Canadian, Oklahoma, to the new property. Since moving to the new property, the LORD has allowed the Ministry to purchase an additional 30 acres.
